Summoning Sanctuary — Epic Spell

Summoning Sanctuary is a third-party epic ward from the Dicefreaks Grimoire of Cosmic Entities Volume One. It prepares a contained summoning zone designed to keep powerful called creatures inside and reduce supernatural harm caused simply by bringing them into the world.

Effect
The ward is prepared before a major summoning or calling. The next summoned creature of the chosen type, and later creatures of that type summoned into the area during the spell’s duration, cannot leave the 30-foot sanctuary by ordinary means.
A creature can attempt to force through the barrier via Spell Resistance. The caster makes the source’s caster-level check with a +20 bonus.
The sanctuary also suppresses the source-specific collateral spiritual damage associated with calling extremely powerful outsiders into the mortal world. That clause belongs to the Dicefreaks cosmology and should only be used where the campaign employs those rules.
Edition Status
This is third-party 3.x epic material, not a modern D&D or Pathfinder core spell.
