Heated Body. A creature that touches the salamander or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 3 (1d6) fire damage.


Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) fire damage.

Tail Swipe. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage plus 3 (1d6) fire damage.

Fiery Leap (1/Day). The salamander jumps up to 20 feet in any direction and lands in a burst of flames. Each creature within 5 feet of the salamander must make a DC 11 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Variant: Summon Salamander (1/Day). The salamander can summon another fiery salamander, provided it isn’t in an area of intense cold. A summoned salamander appears in an unoccupied space within 60 feet of the summoning salamander and acts as an ally of the summoning salamander. It remains for 1 minute, until it or the summoning salamander dies, or until the summoning salamander dismisses it as an action.
