Lugh is a charismatic and ambitious figure who seeks to unite the Tuatha Dé Danann and lead them to victory against their enemies, the Fomorians. He is a skilled diplomat and strategist, using his charm and wit to win the loyalty of others. He is also a master of magic, able to call upon the elements and bend them to his will.

Lugh’s greatest desire is to see the Tuatha Dé Danann prosper and flourish, and he will do whatever it takes to make that happen. He is a hero to his people and a feared enemy to his foes.

In his quest for power and influence, he has made many allies and enemies. He is the foster father of the hero Cú Chulainn, and his son with the goddess Brigid is the god of healing, Cian. His enemies include his grandfather, the Fomorian Balor, who seeks to destroy him, and the warrior queen Medb, who opposes his plans for a united Ireland.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If he fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. He has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Divine Blessing. Once per turn, Lugh can choose to add 1d10 to the damage of an attack or spell that he makes.

Sun Spear. Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d8 + 9) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) radiant damage.

Radiant Burst (Recharge 5-6). Lugh unleashes a burst of radiant energy in a 30-foot radius around him. Each creature in that area must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 70 (20d6) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Gae Bolga. Ranged Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d6 + 10) piercing damage plus 20 (5d8) lightning damage. On a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 23 Constitution saving throw or be stunned for 1 round.

Magic Weapons. Lugh’s weapon attacks are magical.

Legendary Actions

Lugh can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Lugh regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Attack. Lugh makes a melee or ranged attack.

Divine Strike (Costs 2 Actions). Lugh makes a Sun Spear or Gae Bolga attack. If the attack hits, he deals an extra 27 (6d8) radiant or lightning damage (depending on the weapon used).

Radiant Healing (Costs 3 Actions). Lugh channels radiant energy into himself, restoring 75 hit points.
