Centre of the cult of the crocodile god Sobek. Also known as “Crocodile City” the city worships sacred crocodile’s known as Petsuchos, “the Children of Sobek“, and adorned them gold and gem pendants. The Petsuchos lived in a special temple pond and was fed by the priests with food provided by visitors.
