Counter Attack (Fighter)(General)
You can negate the effects of a fighter feat used against you.
Shadowfoot of the Wizards Community forums.
- Prerequisites: fighter level 12, Intelligence 13.
- Benefit: Select any fighter feat you have that has no feat prerequisite or that has as a prerequisite a feat in which you already enjoy Counter Attack. When opponents use the chosen feat against you, they do not enjoy its benefits. Foes can make a Wisdom check (DC = your fighter level) to realize the feat is having no effect against you. For example, if you select Counter Attack (Dodge), creatures designating you as the target of Dodge do not benefit from the feat; if you select Counter Attack (Combat Expertise), creatures who use Combat Expertise against you do not enjoy the bonus to AC but still suffer the sacrificed attack penalty; if you select Counter Attack (Weapon Finesse), creatures attack you with weapons using Weapon Finesse do not add their Dexterity bonus (or Strength bonus) to the attack roll. If the creature makes the Wisdom check and realizes the feat is having no effect, it can stop using the feat against you or alter its strategy.
- Special: You can gain this feat multiple times; each time, it applies to a different fighter feat.
