Placerias

A beast that resembles a reptilian pig waddles along, grunting at others in its herd. One appears to notice you, and prepares to charge.

Placerias is a sturdy animal with tusks for rooting through the soil in search of a range of vegetation and a beak for uprooting plants. In the dry season the earth they dug up would is hard and granular, causing deep grooves on their tusks. In the wet season, the ground is wet and silty, helping to polish them.
Society
Placerias live in large herds that roam the plains in search of roots and tubers. The young are kept in the middle of the herd as protection from coelophysis and postosuchus.
