Fanatic’s Collar
Fanatic’s Collar
Book of Vile Darkness 3.5
By Monte Cook
Legacy Rules
When worn by a willing creature, this spiked iron collar allows the wearer to choose another creature to dominate it, as the spell Dominate Monster.
Using the Collar
The item does not create a separate domination system: the linked spell supplies the duration, limits and other mechanical details. The unusual feature is that the willing wearer selects the creature that will exercise the domination effect.
Edition Note
This is a D&D 3.5e-era wondrous item. Later editions handle domination and attunement differently, so these rules should not be imported unchanged.
Caster Level: 17th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, dominate monster; Market Price: 30,000 gp;Weight: 2 lb.
