These slippers aid their owner as if the spell secure footing had been cast upon him, and the effect is continuous as long as she wears the slippers. Note that, as with many magic items these slippers shrink or grow to fit their owner, but they cannot be worn over other footgear, and anything loose enough to fit over them would be too loose and awkward to allow for proper movement.
