The rods are fitted with socketed ends, allowing them to be speedily put together and secured to one another with a pin. The rods are assembled to construct two 12-foot long poles, which are slid into the sides of the canvas tarp and secured to a horse or other beast of burden with the included harness. The collapsing litter is meant to help adventurers convey injured comrades to safety, and can hold a creature of Medium-size or smaller. The weight limit for the tarp and assembled poles is 400 pounds.
