The dwarves Fjalar and Galar, jealous of Kvasir’s gifts, invited him into their workshop and murdered him, using his blood to create a potent mead that granted immense knowledge to those who drank it. Kvasir’s death at the hands of the dwarves unleashed a chain of events that would eventually lead to the end of the world.
