Society holds no pleasures for some, especially among the devoutly religious. Early in life the anchorite decided to forsake the company of others for solitude and contemplation on the nature of the divine.

Rewarded for his efforts, the anchorite had his eyes opened to the truth of his chosen deity and subsequently spent several years praying for guidance and meditating on his own place in the grand scheme of his god. In time, it was revealed that the anchorite could best serve his god by going among other mortals and spreading the word to those in need.

Benefits: The anchorite receives Wilderness Lore and Animal Empathy as Class Skills due to his experiences in the wild.

Penalties: His lack of social graces prevents the anchorite from fitting in with polite society and inflicts a -4 competence bonus on all Charisma-based skill checks.
