Unaging Settlement

An unaging settlement is enclosed by a magical effect that halts physical ageing for those who remain within its borders. Residents can live for centuries without visibly growing older, but the effect creates unusual social and political pressures.

Legacy Settlement Rules

Under the legacy settlement-quality rules, Unaging increases Lore by 4, decreases Society by 3 and increases effective Spellcasting by 1 level for necromancy spells.

Life Without Ageing

Children are usually raised outside the affected boundary until adulthood, after which they may choose to enter the unaging community. That creates satellite schools, farms or households just beyond the magical border.

Long-lived residents accumulate knowledge, grudges, property and influence. Offices that would normally change hands every generation may remain occupied for centuries unless law deliberately limits tenure.

Adventure Use

An unaging settlement invites questions about succession, inheritance and the source of the magic. A weakening boundary, missing child, stolen ritual component or resident forced to leave can immediately turn the quality into an adventure.
