Dire Jaguar
“Terrifying Shadows Unleashed: The Fearsome Power of the Dire Jaguar!”
The Dire Jaguar is a massive, fearsome big cat with an imposing presence. It has sleek, tawny fur with dark rosette patterns, blending perfectly into the dense jungles and forests it calls home. Standing at almost six feet tall and measuring more than ten feet in length, it’s a truly colossal beast, dwarfing its smaller relatives.
Its powerful muscles ripple beneath its fur, giving it a commanding and agile physique. With keen, amber eyes, the Dire Jaguar exudes an aura of primal intelligence and predatory focus. It sports long, razor-sharp fangs and claws capable of rending flesh with ease.
This apex predator’s roar is thunderous and bone-chilling, sending shivers down the spines of any who hear it. It is the embodiment of nature’s unrelenting power, an emblem of the wild, and a symbol of the untamed heart of the jungle.

Keen Smell. It has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Pounce. If it moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the Dire Jaguar can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.
Multiattack. It makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Ambush Predator. It has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it surprised.
Evasion. If the Dire Jaguar is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage on a successful save.
Leaping Prowess. The Dire Jaguar can leap incredible distances. It can jump up to 30 feet horizontally and 15 feet vertically without needing to make an ability check.
Actions
Roar (Recharge 5-6). The Dire Jaguar releases a deafening roar. Each creature within 60 feet of the Dire Jaguar that can hear the roar must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Reactions
Uncanny Dodge. When the Dire Jaguar makes a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage, it takes no damage on a successful save.
Dire jaguars are even more sturdily built, and far more aggressive, than ordinary jaguars.
