Rondel
A rondel is a type of stiff-bladed dagger used by a variety of people from merchants to knights.
The blade is typically long and slim, with a sharpened point making it ideal in battle for puncturing chain mail, and although it may not be able to punch through plate armour, it can be forced between the joints in a suit of armour and helmets.
The blades may be engraved, the grips ornately carved, and the hand guards and pommels highly decorated.
