Gévaudan, located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of present-day France, is a rich and diverse area steeped in history and culture. A borderland county, between the Kingdom of France and the Kingdom of Aragon. The people of Gévaudan are used to defending themselves from the attacks from the nearby kingdoms and had built strong fortifications to protect themselves. However, the county is now plagued by a series of vicious attacks on people by unidentified beasts.
