A vast fortress, Trausnitz Castle is situated atop a hill above the town of Landshut in the Bavaria Landshut.

Frequently visited by famous artists and minstrels. Due to the extravigant patronage of the arts by Louis IX, Duke of Bavaria (The Rich). All the furnishing and decorating the castle are in the expensive Florentine style.

The wealthy Duke has also repeatedly renovated and expanded the buildings in Burg Trausnitz and heightened the outer defensive ring of walls and extended the defensive towers.

Chamber of art and curiosities

The Duke owns a personal collection of rare, unknown and marvelous objects. Including a diversity of specimens from both known and newly discovered worlds.
