  • Prerequisites: Constitution 13+, Endurance.
  • Benefit: Your lungs are better able to function in areas of lower oxygen Concentration than other people. You gain a +4 bonus to Fortitude saves made to avoid the effects of oxygen deprivation.
  • Normal: Characters on top of a mountain must roll a Fortitude saving throw each hour (DC 15 +1 per previous check), taking 1d6 points of nonlethal damage each time they fail. A character that sustains any nonlethal damage from lack of oxygen is automatically fatigued. These penalties end when the character recovers the nonlethal damage he took from low oxygen. Long-term oxygen deprivation due to high altitude affects mental and physical ability scores. After each six-hour period a character spends at an altitude of over 20,000 feet, he must make a Fortitude save (DC 15 +1 per previous check) or take one point of temporary damage to all ability scores.
