Sentry (Robert “Bob” Reynolds) is a fictional character and superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in The Sentry #1 (September 2000) and was created by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee with uncredited conceptual contributions by Rick Veitch.

Energy Control (Ex): The Sentry possesses a near incalculable ability to manipulate and project energy from various spectrums of light. He has not demonstrated his full abilities as of yet but has shown to be capable of several feats.

– As a standard action, Sentry may fire a blast of energy from his eyes or hands. This deals 40d6 damage with a ranged touch attack. Sentry may choose to inflict fire, electricity, or quantum damage.

– Sentry has also been shown to generate near impenetrable force fields. As a standard action Sentry can generate either a personal or area force field that provides up to 560 points of protection. If the force field is shattered recreating it requires a standard action. While protected by his force field Sentry is unable to attack. (Though using his super-speed he can create a field to block an attack, then lower it and attack himself).

Psionics: Sentry possesses massively powerful psionic abilities that have been shown to dwarf even those of Professor X. He has demonstrated very little control over these for the most part but has shown a few abilities he can control. At will – mindwipe, psionic charm, psionic modify memory. All powers are manifested at 42nd level ability with a save DC of 31. The Sentry has shown the ability to exceed standard range limitations with his psionic powers, having used his mindwipe on the entire planet at one time.

Solar Powered: Direct contact with yellow solar matter results in Sentry gaining increased strength and power. This effect varies, and can’t be accurately statted.

Super Senses (Ex): Sentry can see and hear at a distance far beyond that of a human being. He suffers distance penalties of -1 per mile instead of 1 per 10 feet. By focusing (requiring one of his swift actions for the round), he can extend this by a factor of 10 per swift action used. This is cumulative, so if he used three of his swift actions to extend his senses, he would suffer a -1 penalty per 1000 miles.

Superspeed Level 12 (Ex):
+12 speed bonus to AC, initiative, and Reflex saves.
+12 speed bonus to attack rolls.
+6 speed bonus to melee damage rolls.

Sentry may make 12 swift actions in a round.
Sentry reduces the amount of time to complete an action by 4 steps, allowing him to take full-round actions as immediate actions.

Characters with less than superspeed level 6 are considered flat-footed for the purposes of Sentry’s attacks. Characters with uncanny dodge have an effective superspeed level equal to their Dexterity modifier for this purpose.

When using the run action, Sentry moves 40x his movement rate (14,400 feet; fly 43,200 feet).

Superstrength: Sentry can lift 100x the normal weight limits for someone of his Strength score.

Skills: Sentry has a +30 racial bonus on Listen and Spot checks.
