Dinosaur, “Torosaurus: Savage Herbivore, Living Fortress of the Past”
“Torosaurus, the jagged-crowned behemoth of the Late Cretaceous, stomps across ancient plains with three lethal horns and an intimidating frill, ready to crush or gore any who dare challenge its dominion.”

Torosaurus stalks ancient plains with a skeletal frill like a jagged crown and three deadly horns poised to impale any challenger daring enough to approach. This massive herbivore wields its elongated frill and formidable horns like living armor, defending territory with thunderous charges and imposing displays. Solitary or in small herds, it embodies the raw strength and majesty of the prehistoric world, dwelling in open plains and river valleys where it commands both awe and caution from all who encounter it.
Appearance:
Torosaurus is a towering herbivore, reaching lengths of up to 30 feet, with a massive skull crowned by a thin, elongated frill pierced by two large openings. Its three prominent horns curve menacingly from brow and snout, while its muscular, elephantine body is armored with thick, wrinkled hide. Despite its bulk, it moves with surprising speed, radiating a palpable aura of primal power.
Behaviour:
Generally solitary or in small herds, Torosaurus is vigilant and defensive. It reacts to threats with loud bellowing and sudden charges, using its horns and mass to intimidate or repel predators. Though herbivorous, it fiercely defends prime feeding grounds with relentless determination.
Habitat:
Torosaurus favors open plains, forest edges, and river valleys abundant in vegetation. Its territories span several square miles, often marked by trampled foliage and deep wallows used for rest or cooling its massive body.
Modus Operandi:
This creature relies on sheer size and frill displays to intimidate foes before engaging in combat. When provoked, it lowers its head, lunges with lethal horns, and uses its weight to crush or gore adversaries. Ambush is rare; it confronts threats directly, though it will retreat if significantly outmatched.
Motivation:
Driven by survival, hunger, and territorial instinct, Torosaurus seeks to dominate its domain and maintain access to rich feeding grounds. Its aggressive displays serve as warnings as well as defensive measures, ensuring rivals and predators respect its formidable presence.

Traits
Trampling Charge. If the Torosaurus moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and hits it with a horn attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the Torosaurus can make one stomp attack against it as a bonus action.
Keen Senses. The Torosaurus has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Territorial Roar (Recharge 5–6). The Torosaurus emits a deafening bellow. Each creature of its choice within 60 feet that can hear it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.
Actions
Multiattack. The Torosaurus makes two attacks: one with its horns and one with its stomp.
Horns. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage.
Stomp. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one prone target. Hit: 27 (3d12 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Frill Bash (Recharge 6). The Torosaurus sweeps its massive frill in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or take 18 (5d6) bludgeoning damage and be pushed 10 feet back. On a successful save, creatures take half damage and are not pushed.
Reactions
Defensive Stance. When a creature the Torosaurus can see attacks it with a melee attack, it can impose disadvantage on the attack roll.
Legendary Actions
The Torosaurus can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. It regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Torosaurus

This reptilian beast’s massive head sports a pair of horns above the eyes, with a smaller one on the nose, and a shield-shaped frill that makes up half of the head’s length.
InsanePsychoRabbit of the Wizards Community forums.
Torosaurus is a slightly smaller, and less common, cousin of the triceratops. Its name does not mean ‘bull lizard,’ as many believe; it actually means ‘perforated lizard’ and refers to the window-like openings in the bones of its enormous frill. However, ‘bull lizard’ is still quite an appropriate name for this beast, as torosaurs are large, ornery, and prone to charging at the slightest provocation.
A torosaurus is about 15 feet long and weighs 4½ to 6½ tons.
