The Dominion of Anghar

Anghar is one of the largest fomorian kingdoms in Faerie, spanning countless plains, shorelines, and ocean expanses in addition to a smaller smattering of other domains.

Anghar is a realm that has existed in Faerie since time immemorial, a place of twisted magic and malignant power. The kingdom spans an immense expanse of land, including vast plains that stretch out to the horizon, rugged shorelines where waves crash against rocky cliffs, and endless ocean expanses where deadly sea creatures lurk beneath the waves. In addition to these primary domains, Anghar also claims dominion over a host of smaller, yet no less significant, territories.

The realm is ruled by the malevolent Fomorian king, Brasil, whose twisted ambition and paranoia know no bounds. Brasil is a creature consumed by an insatiable desire for power and control, and will stop at nothing to extend his reach and ensure that no one can threaten his authority. He commands a large army of lesser Fomorians, who are kept in line through fear and intimidation. These brutal soldiers, with their hulking frames and fearsome strength, are a constant reminder of Brasil’s terrible might and the ruthlessness with which he rules his kingdom.

His sister Eithne helped him build his empire, but eventually he gave in to vile paranoia and violated her such that she has forever abandoned him.

Despite his fearsome reputation, Brasil’s reign has been marked by constant conflict and unrest. He is often at war with the Court of Coral, whose watery domain borders Anghar’s own, as well as the Court of the Frostfell, whose icy wastes lie to the north. Other courts, concerned with the plains and forests that surround Anghar, have also been drawn into the kingdom’s web of intrigue and conflict.

Anghar’s capital is a wandering tower located on the island of Hybrasil, a place of great magical power and mystery. The tower is said to shift and change location with the whims of its master, appearing suddenly in different parts of the kingdom as Brasil sees fit. It is a place of dark secrets and hidden horrors, a symbol of the twisted magic that flows through Anghar’s veins.

Despite the kingdom’s dark reputation and the fear it inspires among those who know of it, there are those who would seek to challenge Brasil’s rule and overthrow him from his throne. Brave adventurers, seeking glory and riches beyond measure, have ventured into Anghar’s treacherous domains, hoping to bring an end to the Fomorian king’s reign of terror once and for all. But the challenges they face are many and the dangers they must overcome are great, for Anghar is a place where even the bravest of heroes can quickly find themselves lost to the darkness.
