It takes the wielder one month of constant practice to get used to the weight, at which point he enjoys a +1 bonus to damage. If a bastard sword has a weighed pommel, it can be used onehanded at a -2 penalty rather than the normal -4 if the character does not have the Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat.
