The Oppressive Kingdom of Affwys is a land of darkness and secrets, ruled by the powerful and sinister fomorians. The kingdom’s vast underground network of caves, tunnels, and twisting passages are teeming with all manner of strange and dangerous creatures. Goblins, trolls, and other faerie creatures that have been twisted and corrupted by the dark magic of Andomhain lurk in the shadows.

The fomorians of Affwys are feared for their magical prowess, with many skilled in the art of dark sorcery and necromancy. The kingdom is home to a number of powerful artifacts and magical items, many of which have been scavenged from the ruins of ancient civilizations that once inhabited Andomhain. The fomorians guard these treasures jealously, using their power and wealth to keep their subjects in line.

Despite their dominance, the fomorians are a race constantly at war, both with external enemies and among their own people. They are a treacherous and cunning race, always looking for ways to advance their own interests at the expense of others. This has led to a complex web of alliances and rivalries within the kingdom, with many powerful factions vying for power and influence.

In recent years, Affwys has expanded its reach beyond the borders of Andomhain, annexing neighboring territories and building an empire that spans the depths of the faerie realm. This has brought the kingdom into conflict with other powerful faerie courts, including the Court of Coral and the Court of Caverns, who are determined to stop the fomorians’ expansionist ambitions.

The people of Affwys live in a constant state of fear and oppression, with little hope for a brighter future. Those who dare to speak out against the fomorians risk being silenced forever. It is said that the only way to escape the clutches of Affwys is to flee into the unknown depths of the faerie realm, where danger and adventure await.

Politics

The kingdom is ruled by the powerful Fomorian queen, Inciona, who has expanded her rule to cover most of Andomhain and the surrounding caves and sea realms. Inciona is known for being extremely greedy and keeping all the resources and secrets that she has found to herself.

Despite her greed, Inciona is willing to use her resources when necessary, although she tends to be overcautious. Her brother, Math, serves as her majordomo. Currently, Inciona is in negotiations with the Queen of Air and Darkness’s envoy to potentially form an alliance. However, at the same time, she is also fighting against the forces of the Court of Coral and the Court of Caverns who are unhappy with her expansion into their territories.

Tir Andomhain

Tir Andomhain is a massive fortress built into the side of a mountain in the center of the kingdom of Affwys.

The fortress is surrounded by a large moat filled with icy water that is patrolled by fierce merrows and other aquatic creatures. The entrance to the fortress is a massive stone gate that can only be opened by a secret combination known only to the Fomorians.

Once inside, visitors find themselves in a sprawling courtyard that is home to various Fomorian warriors and their families. The courtyard is surrounded by a series of smaller buildings that serve as barracks, stables, and storage areas. At the far end of the courtyard is a massive keep that serves as the seat of power for the Fomorian queen, Inciona.

The keep is a towering structure made of black stone that rises hundreds of feet into the air. It is surrounded by a series of smaller towers and fortified walls that make it nearly impregnable. Inside, the keep is filled with rich tapestries, ornate furniture, and other treasures that Inciona has acquired through her many conquests.

Beyond the keep is a network of tunnels and caverns that stretch deep into the mountain. These tunnels are filled with all manner of dangers, from goblin tribes to giant spiders and other monsters. However, they also contain vast stores of precious metals and gems that the Fomorians use to fund their conquests.

Throughout the fortress, visitors will see Fomorian warriors patrolling the halls and ramparts, as well as the occasional enslaved humanoid that has been captured in one of the many Fomorian raids. Despite its many dangers, Tir Andomhain is an impressive sight and a testament to the power of the Fomorian race.
