This incredibly tall quadruped has a huge, almost erect neck, a moderately small tail, a very broad chest, thin legs and a short head with a rounded snout and a bellowing chamber within its high crest. It calls out loudly to alarm others as it walks the ocean coast or while it lurks amid the bog trees other creatures cannot reach, wary of fearsome carnivorous predators and outsiders.

Sauroposeidon is the tallest of all known dinosaurs reaching a colossal size by full adulthood.

Sauroposeidon are known to reach 98 feet long and 55 feet tall. They are slow and clumsy, but they are more agile and controlled than a brachiosaurus, and their long legs and neck allow it to reach foliage that no other creature can naturally reach. They are herd organisms, and because of their size have few formidable enemies. Vicious
and fierce carnosaurs find difficulty in taking one down, although the savage nature of such a beast has been known to find success.

Sauroposeidon are more keen than their smaller counterparts, and because of their agility and marginally better intellect have been known to be trained for certain tasks including basic riding commands and long-distance signalling without magical intervention.

Combat

A sauroposeidon is most likely to use its front claws for uprooting trees, but when attacked by something large enough to concern it (usually a rival male during mating season), it can use them to deadly effect. Against most dangers, it simply walks over them or uses its secondary attack with its lashing tail. Outside of its stationary attacks, it often utilizes its Trample and Improved Overrun. If untrained, it uses its Basal Bellow to warn others of its pod; trained sauroposeidon will use it as intended – as a call, signal, or to Intimidate smaller creatures.

The stamps of a sauroposeidon are considered to be bludgeoning and slashing weapons for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction.

Trample (Ex): A sauroposeidon can literally run over any creatures in its way that are of Gargantuan or smaller size. Creatures trampled must make a Reflex save (DC 39 half) or take 10d8+22 damage. The save DC is Strength-based.

A sauroposeidon makes an appropriate animal companion for a druid of at least ??th level.

Sauroposeidon as Improved Familiars

Wild sauroposeidon can be trained to be domesticated with a two-month training (Handle Animal DC 20) to develop proper usage as a signaller or watchful sentinel.

Warbeasts are trained for a 3-month period of rigorous testing that works on their physical abilities as well as their usefulness with combative riders and with apparel oriented for war (barding and armors), and Diplomacy (color guard, performance, and bannery). A wild, undomesticated sauroposeidon reared for one full year (Handle Animal DC 20 + HD of the animal) qualifies for this further warbeast training. Two months of warbeast training (Handle Animal DC 25 + HD of the warbeast) bestows the benefits and value as a trained mount for combat and show.

Market Price: Warbeast Sauroposeidon are sold on exotic markets and interplanar caravans for (75*31)+100gp. Most commonly these are found being distributed by Mercanes and similarly notorious extraplanar merchants.
