    Iphiclus is an Argonaut, the grandson of Ares, and the son of Thestius, the king of the Pleuronians in Aetolia. He stands tall and broad-shouldered, with a commanding presence and piercing blue eyes that seem to radiate intensity.

    Growing up, Iphiclus was trained in combat by his father, who saw great potential in him. He quickly proved himself to be a fierce warrior, displaying a natural talent for swordsmanship and tactics. As he grew older, Iphiclus began to feel a sense of restlessness, a yearning for adventure and a desire to make a name for himself.

    When he learned of Jason’s quest for the Golden Fleece, Iphiclus saw it as the perfect opportunity to prove himself. He joined the Argonauts and quickly became one of their most trusted members, using his skills and knowledge to help the group overcome many obstacles.

    Iphiclus is driven by a strong sense of honor and a desire to do what is right. He sees himself as a protector of the innocent, and is quick to defend those who cannot defend themselves. He is also fiercely loyal to his friends, and will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

    Actions

    Multiattack. Iphiclus can make three melee attacks or two ranged attacks.

    • Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (1d6+5+2d6) piercing damage.
    • Battle Cry (1/day). As a bonus action, Iphiclus lets out a fearsome battle cry. All enemies within 30 ft. must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18) or become frightened for 1 minute. They may repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success.
    • Reckless Attack. When Iphiclus makes his first attack on his turn, he can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives him advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against him have advantage until his next turn.
    • Leadership. Iphiclus can use his bonus action to grant up to two allies within 30 ft. who can see and hear him advantage on their next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw.
