ABOUT

Man-eating sheep are created by the cult of Baphomet using demon-steeped ichor and sinister rituals. They are popular among the cult for the useful products they generate—a man-eating sheep produces as good a wool and milk as the regular kind—as well as for the amusement generated when a seemingly docile animal turns violent and murderous. Man-eating lambs may find their way into local livestock markets in order to induce fear and chaos, but usually through multiple proxies, so the original source of the murderous beasts is hard to trace. Cults of various demonic entities may use them for sacrificial rituals if humanoid victims are not available.

Man-eating sheep are sexually dimorphic; rams are much larger than ewes. Both sexes have horns, however, and they are somewhat of an intimidating sight. They are just intelligent enough to be evil—man-eating sheep of both sexes enjoy drawing out their attacks in order to induce fear and pain.

An inspirational tale could be the myth of Eros and Psyche: the ‘heroine’ is sent to collect the wool of these irritable beings as second of the four trials Aphrodite puts her through.
